Archuleta County, in partnership with the Town of Pagosa Springs and the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation, is inviting community members to participate in an open house event for the development of a new Housing Action Plan. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 21, with sessions scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The purpose of the Housing Action Plan is to address local housing needs by building on findings from a recent Housing Needs Assessment. Organizers say that this plan will translate assessment data into practical steps aimed at improving housing options for residents.

Community feedback is being sought as part of the planning process. According to organizers, “We want to hear from you about what is working, what is not, and what ideas you have for the future. Your input will help shape the plan and guide decisions for housing.”

The open house is designed for all residents regardless of their prior knowledge about local housing issues. Attendees are encouraged to learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide their perspectives.

Registration for the event is optional but recommended so that organizers can better prepare and keep participants informed about project updates. “You don’t have to RSVP, but registering helps us prepare for the event and keep you updated on the project,” according to information provided by Archuleta County.
