Former Durango High School standout Mason Rowland and the Colorado Mesa Mavericks secured a 62-58 victory over the UT Tyler Patriots on Saturday, March 14, during their NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament contest.
Tip-off occurred at 4 p.m. at Kitty Magee Arena, marking the Mavericks’ tournament opener against UT Tyler.
The Mavericks advance to their next game on Monday, March 16, at 6 p.m., also at Kitty Magee Arena.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado allocated $492,801 to women’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $455,726 below the state average of $948,527.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado allocated $607,448 to women’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $341,079 below the state average of $948,527.
Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado allocated $652,752 to men’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $705,629 below the state average of $1,358,381, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
