Councilor Kip Koso will host Council Office Hours at the Durango Public Library, located at 1900 East Third Avenue, on Thursday, May 7 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Residents are invited to visit and have an informal conversation with Koso in the library coffee shop.

The city encourages community members to attend these sessions as an opportunity to share their thoughts and questions directly with a member of the city council. The event is part of ongoing efforts by local officials to increase accessibility and engagement between residents and their elected representatives.

Information about future Council Office Hours can be found on the city’s Council Office Hours webpage. Community members are also encouraged to visit the Engage Durango page for updates on current projects or use the “Contact Us” form for comments, questions, or suggestions. Those interested in receiving news releases from the city can sign up for Notify Me and select “City of Durango News Flash.”

Koso said these office hours provide a chance for open dialogue with constituents in a casual setting.

Broader participation in events like this is intended to help foster transparency and communication between city leadership and residents.
