Mason Rowland, a former Durango High School standout now playing for the Colorado Mesa Mavericks, is set to compete in the Division II NCAA Basketball Tournament.

The Mavericks hold the number 3 seed and will take on the sixth-seeded Lubbock Christian Chaparrals in their opening matchup.

Tipoff for the first game is scheduled for Friday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at Kitty Magee Arena.
