On Saturday, Nov. 29, former Delta High School standout Colton Johnson’s current collegiate team the Western Colorado Mountaineers lost 15-21 against the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at Mountaineer Bowl at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons in the tournament.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado allocated $492,801 to women’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $455,726 below the state average of $948,527.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado allocated $607,448 to women’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $341,079 below the state average of $948,527.
Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado allocated $652,752 to men’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $705,629 below the state average of $1,358,381, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
