Mason Rowland helps Colorado Mesa advance with close NCAA Division II win

Mason Rowland, a former Durango High School basketball standout, helped guide her current team, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks, to a 65-64 victory over the Texas Woman’s Pioneers in the NCAA Division II Tournament on Monday, March 16.

The matchup was held at Kitty Magee Arena, tipping off at 6 p.m.

Rowland recorded 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks while playing all 40 minutes.

The Mavericks will move on to play their next game Tuesday, March 24, at 10 a.m. at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
