On Friday, March 13, Mason Rowland, a Durango High School alum, helped her current team, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks, secure an 80-45 victory over the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals at the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The matchup was played at 11 a.m. in Kitty Magee Arena and marked the Mavericks’ first contest against the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals in the tournament.

The Colorado Mesa Mavericks’ next round is slated for Saturday, March 14 at 4 p.m. at Kitty Magee Arena.
