The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office released its activity blotter on April 15, detailing incidents and law enforcement actions from April 13 and April 14.

The blotter provides a summary of calls for service, citations, arrests, and other activities handled by deputies over the two-day period. This information helps keep the community informed about local law enforcement efforts.

On April 13, deputies responded to various calls including welfare checks in several locations such as Lavender Circle, Mustang Lane, and Highway 50. Several individuals were cited for traffic violations: Alonzo Wilkes was cited for expired license plates at East Main Street and North Junction Avenue; Juan Nieves-Mendoza was cited for speeding at East Main Street and Locust Road; Joshua Williams received a citation for expired license plates in the 600 Block Chipeta Road; Thomas Watson was cited for speeding in the 10000 Block of 6400 Road. Deputies also assisted state patrol with an accident on the 13000 Block of 6100 Road and addressed civil matters as well as informational reports.

Erik Heath was arrested on a warrant at mile marker 83 on Highway 50. He also received citations for no proof of insurance, expired license plates, and driving under restraint. Other notable arrests included Tanya Westbrook (third degree assault, protection order violation, child abuse), Jared Lilly (second degree assault), Giovanni Mayer (domestic violence, harassment), Joshua Tomaske (domestic violence, harassment, protection order violation), Adan Gonzalez (second degree assault), Corey Coolidge (mittimus), Michael Tucker (mittimus), all processed by either Montrose Police Department or Montrose Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies performed additional duties including civil processes (13 total), directed patrols (26 total), VIN inspections (6 total) during this period. On April 14 specifically, Secundino Vigil was arrested by Montrose Police Department on charges including domestic violence, harassment, and protection order violation.

The release of these details continues to offer transparency regarding law enforcement activities within Montrose County.
