Monte Vista issued the following announcement on July 16.
Alcon Construction, INC in conjunction with the City of Monte Vista will be conducting construction activities at the Ski Hi Convention Complex, located on Sherman Avenue, Monte Vista, Co 81144 the week of July 20, 2020. Those construction activities will require the closure of Sherman Avenue on July 26, 2020. The street closure will begin at 2:00 a.m. and will continue until 5:00 p.m. on July 26, 2020.
The closure will be from Ski Hi Trail to the COOP Road (County Road 2E). Local traffic will be allowed to access properties both East and West from County Road 2E and all other traffic will be detoured to County Road 3E.
ABSOLUTELY NO TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED FROM SKI HI TRAIL TO 2360 SHERMAN ON SHERMAN AVENUE DURING THE CLOSURE TIMES. Any properties near 2360 Sherman or including 2360 Sherman will need to access from County Road 2E.
Traffic control will be in place to help directing people to their residences. Non-residents will not be allowed anywhere near the construction activities and there will be no on street parking allowed within 1000 feet of Closure area.
