Ouray County issued the following announcement on Nov. 17.
Commencing November 23, 2020, Ouray County will be performing emergency repair work on a section of Ouray County Road 17 between Pine Ridge Drive and County Road 23. Work is estimated to be completed by December 7, 2020.
During this time, the section of County Road 17 will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. This emergency work is needed in order to repair a hilfiker wall to prevent further deterioration of the road. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes.
