La Plata County issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
THURSDAY, November 26 and FRIDAY, November 27
La Plata County offices will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
MONDAY, November 30
9 a.m. – The Board will hold a virtual radio interview with staff at Four Corners Broadcasting. To submit a question to the Board of County Commissioners for this interview, please email news@radiodurango.com.
1 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend the virtual Colorado Counties Inc. (CCI) Western District winter conference meeting.
2 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend the virtual CCI Front Range District & 50,000+ population Caucus meeting.
3:30 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend the virtual CCI Business Meeting.
TUESDAY, December 1
1 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend the virtual CCI Winter Conference.
WEDNESDAY, December 2
8:30 a.m. – Board Discussion Time

THURSDAY, December 3
10 a.m. – The Board will hold their annual goal-setting retreat with staff and Commissioners-elect Porter-Norton and Salka. Pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session during this meeting for purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b), litigation related to Bayfield Landfill.
