ALAMOSA COUNTY GOVERNMENT: PTE Airport Operations Technician

Alamosa County Government issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.

Job Description: The San Luis Valley Regional Airport is seeking self-starters to join our team. This is your opportunity to learn and participate in the operations of a Commercial Service Airport. This position performs a variety of tasks including maintenance of the terminal, runway upkeep, daily inspections for safety and maintenance, record upkeep, repairs and maintenance of facilities, radio contact with aircraft and much more. Candidate must have some equipment operation experience such as with a skid steer, loader or snow plow. The right person must have good communication skills over the radio and in person. Computer skills are a must! Should be proficient in Microsoft Word, e-mail, internet searches and some Excel. The airport is a 365-day per year environment which requires rotating shifts, on-call shifts, and holidays. This position is critical to the safety of aircraft. Salary is $16.70-17.20 per hour DOE. Full time hours (40) and part-time hours (24) available, Full benefits available for full time work hours. Must pass a drug test and background check. Open until filled.
