San Miguel County ranked sixth in Colorado for resident earnings in 2018

San Miguel County ranked sixth among counties in Colorado by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of San Miguel County residents was $34,427 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 3,441 households with a population of 7,968.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Gilpin County with $44,881 per year after adjusting for inflation – $10,454 more than San Miguel County. It had 2,653 households with a population of 5,924.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Crowley County with $14,826 per year after adjusting for inflation – $19,601 less than San Miguel County. It had 1,194 households with a population of 5,630.
