San Miguel County ranked sixth in Colorado for resident earnings in 2019

San Miguel County ranked sixth among counties in Colorado by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of San Miguel County residents was $36,451 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 3,552 households with a population of 8,049.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Gilpin County with $44,683 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,232 more than San Miguel County. It had 2,802 households with a population of 6,018.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Crowley County with $18,032 per year after adjusting for inflation – $18,419 less than San Miguel County. It had 1,301 households with a population of 5,754.
