Montrose County ranked 12th in Colorado for resident earnings in 2019

Montrose County ranked 12th among counties in Colorado by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Montrose County residents was $27,033 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 17,140 households with a population of 41,686.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Gilpin County with $44,683 per year after adjusting for inflation – $17,650 more than Montrose County. It had 2,802 households with a population of 6,018.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Crowley County with $18,032 per year after adjusting for inflation – $9,001 less than Montrose County. It had 1,301 households with a population of 5,754.
