Akron News Reporter recently issued the following announcement.
The Akron High School alumni reunion will be Saturday, May 7 at the fieldhouse at Akron High School. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m., with the banquet being served at 6:00 p.m.
Reservations are coming in for the reunion classes. Class of 1962 will be celebrating their 60th class reunion. The class of 1972 will be celebrating their 50th reunion. Nancy Cain Morian, class of ‘57, wrote a note with her dues and she said, “Akron gave me a good education.”
The dues are income for the alumni to pay for the banquet meal for the senior class and will go toward their scholarships. The golf tournament on Saturday morning at 10 is also income for the senior class scholarships. Seniors receiving the alumni scholarships will be announced at their graduation on May 28.

The class of 2022 will be the honored guests at the alumni. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to join their seniors that evening. For those who may need a reservation form for the banquet, the alumni newsletters are available at Akron Town Hall and the Akron Library.
