Census Bureau reports Montrose County population was 42,280 in 2020

Montrose County had a population of 42,280 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SW Colorado News.

The median age was 45, with 50.6 percent of the total population being female and 49.4 percent male.

The state's total population in 2020 was 5,684,926.
