Census Bureau: 84.3% of people in Costilla County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 3,517 citizens living in Costilla County in 2021, 84.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 2,965 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 1,592 were male, constituting 53.7%, and 1,373 were female, making up 46.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Costilla County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.9%.
