Homeowners are being offered free wildfire risk site visits to help identify the main wildfire risks to their properties, according to an announcement on April 2. The initiative also includes a chipper rebate program for both individuals and communities.

The program aims to help residents take steps toward reducing wildfire hazards by providing expert advice directly at their homes. With wildfires posing a significant threat in many areas, these efforts are designed to support property owners in making informed decisions about fire mitigation.

In addition to the site visits, individuals can receive reimbursement for half of their chipping costs, up to $250. Communities may be eligible for rebates as high as $1,500. These incentives are intended to encourage more people and neighborhoods to participate in fire prevention activities.

Residents interested in signing up or learning more about the available programs can visit www.WildfireAdapted.org.

These initiatives reflect ongoing efforts by local organizations and authorities to enhance community resilience against wildfires. By offering financial assistance and professional guidance, the programs seek to increase participation in critical mitigation measures.
